We find that, the most effective way to make the language more interesting is to engage the kids to explore the language on their own. We also have a library system in place that interests both the kids and the parents to start learning more about the Tamil literatures. We plan activities such as storytelling, role play, games, and Tamil Comic reading sessions, etc., it motivates and increases the confidence of students to start and improve their speech skills. In addition to the syllabus, we also offer speech sessions that are completely designed by the parent volunteers along with guidance from ITA. The Katy Independent School District (KISD) is a public school district based in Katy, Texas, United States with an enrollment of over 85,700 students. I initially planned to go into the healthcare field, but through conversations with some wonderful people and by shadowing teachers, it became clear that teaching was my calling.and I love it! My grandfathers, aunts and uncles, mother, and now even siblings are teachers I think it's fair to say it runs in the family. I earned my Masters in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education from UNL in 2009, and have taken further Masters level classes in Educational Technology, Science Pedagogy, and Assessment.
I graduated from Lincoln East High School and went on to to study Dietetics & Nutrition Science at the University of Nebraska Lincoln.
